Administrative Secretary

The Development Office of the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown seeks an Administrative Secretary who demonstrates a passion for
providing secretarial excellence to the director and office staff. The successful candidate will have five years minimum experience in an
executive level capacity with proven ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality, integrity, professionalism and customer
service.

Responsibilities include greeting visitors in person and by phone, sorting mail and e-mail, preparing and proofreading documents
and reports, scheduling appointments, plus occasional gift recording. Thorough understanding of MS Word and Excel required; familiarity with MS Publisher beneficial. Experience with
Raiser’s Edge software desired.

The successful candidate will also possess a commitment to advancing the mission of the Catholic Church, with membership in
good standing at a Catholic parish preferred. Background check and completion of Protecting God’s Children required.

Saint Francis University
Assistant Director of the Annual Fund

Saint Francis University invites applications for the position of Assistant Director of the Annual Fund. Directly reports to the Associate VP for Advancement to perform administrative and programmatic aspects of the Annual Fund operation, with responsibilities for planning, managing and evaluating the phone/mail and young alumni programs. The Assistant Director oversees all aspects of the phone/mail program, develops a comprehensive plan, and implements strategies to expand the base of annual giving support for the university. Additionally, the Assistant Director is responsible for recruiting, training and supervising student employees and graduate students. Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings and Sundays.

Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university, minimum of 2 years of successful professional development experience, ability to use current computer technology, experience managing phonathon/telefund programs is preferred.

Juniata College
Director of Leadership Giving

Juniata College invites applicants for the Assistant Director of Leadership Giving position. Qualified candidate will be primarily responsible for strengthening and maintaining relationships through cultivating, soliciting and providing stewardship of gifts from individuals and business entities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Identifies and meets with donors and prospective donors for cultivation of relationships, solicitation and gift planning. Listens to needs and priorities of donors. Communicates needs and goals of Juniata.
  2. Collaborates with other members of the Development Department in creating strategies directed toward loyal and consistent club and society level donors. Will serve as a primary contact for the volunteers who assist with assigned clubs and/or societies.
  3. Identifies planned giving opportunities among assigned donors and where appropriate delivers planned giving proposals to those donors.
  4. Prepares reports for presentation, analyzes program results and makes recommendations to improved cultivation program.

SUPERVISION GIVEN AND RECEIVED:

  •  Reports to the Director of Development.
  • May supervise student employees and interns.

REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in charitable gift programs sufficient to demonstrate competency in prospect solicitation and fundraising success or related sales and marketing experience. Estate, gift and tax planning, solicitation of gifts, and budget management are a plus. BS/BA required.

Personal Competencies Necessary to be Successful in Position:

  • Excellent interpersonal, planning, organizational and communication skills.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently within a broad strategic framework and institutional priorities.
  • Must work cooperatively and collaboratively with numerous and diverse individuals and groups.
  • Willingness to travel and work non-traditional hours.
